Prequalified suppliers for construction work to service the requirements of NSW government agencies, state-owned corporations, public institutions (such as universities) and NSW local government councils.

What's covered

This scheme covers construction work valued between $1 million (excluding GST) and $9 million (excluding GST). Construction work includes:

  • building works: multi-trade building works for new buildings and additions to existing buildings
  • heritage building: restoration and conservation works and/or associated stonemasonry, carving and fixing, roofing, carpentry, plastering and painting
  • modular building: portable buildings, prefabricated buildings, modules or sections manufactured off-site and amenable to on-site expedited delivery or modular assembly
  • fit-out and refurbishment: fit-out and refurbishment work, as well as the final preparation of internal areas for occupation by the client in new and existing buildings
  • civil works: civil engineering works including excavation and bulk earth works, minor roads and related works
  • water infrastructure: reservoirs, dams and or associated pipelines, pumping stations, balance tanks, surge tanks, storage tanks and discharge structures
  • wastewater infrastructure: sewage treatment plants and or associated pipelines and pumping stations
  • demolition works: demolishing or dismantling a structure or part of a structure that is either load bearing or related to the physical integrity of the structure.

Contract systems the scheme covers are:

  • construct only (C)
  • design and construct (D&C)
  • best practice accreditation.

To find the right suppliers for your needs, you can search the scheme supplier list. You’ll be able to download the specific CSV file.

If you’re logged into your buyer account then you’ll be able to filter under 'Supplier categories' using the 'construction' field and the scheme name under the 'Scheme memberships' filter.

If you’re logged in with your buyer account, you'll have full access to a supplier’s profile.

If you don't have a buyer account, it's quick to sign up. You just need to enter your email address and create a password.

Who's eligible to buy

You're eligible to buy through this prequalification scheme and procurement list if you represent a:

  • NSW government agency
  • state-owned corporation
  • public institution (such as a university)
  • NSW local government council.

All NSW Government agencies are eligible

This means that all NSW Government agencies can use this scheme when buying construction work services.

How to buy: step by step

  1. Make sure you understand your agency-specific procurement rules and guidelines.
  2. Depending on the value of the construction work you're procuring, read the scheme conditions PDF, 395.97 KB ($1 million to $9 million).
  3. Log in to find the suppliers.
  4. Seek submissions via Supplier Hub.

Always seek submissions in accordance with your agency rules (or a minimum of 3 suppliers) using the key principles of:

  • value for money at all times
  • criteria set out in the terms and conditions of the procurement list or prequalification scheme, as applicable (legal capacity, financial capacity, commercial ability, and technical ability)
  • any other agency-specific requirements.

Note that unaccredited agencies must comply with the assurance process for construction procurements (as outlined in the construction procurement accreditation program) for any general construction works valued over $1.3 million (excluding GST).

Who's eligible to supply

Any organisation, international or domestic, who has an Australian business number (ABN) and meets the conditions of participation is eligible to apply for inclusion in the prequalification scheme.

How to supply: step by step

  1. Assess your eligibility to supply by using the self-assessment tool in the applicant guidelines.
  2. Familiarise yourself with the conditions and applicant guidelines for either works between $1 million and $9 million.
  3. Log in with your supplier account. If you don’t have one yet, you can sign up now.
  4. Start an application to join the scheme. You’ll need to answer questions and upload required documents.
  5. Once your application is approved, you're ready to commence submissions for construction work up to the established threshold.
  6. When lodging a submission in response to an invitation, make sure you follow all agency-specific processes and requirements.
